Shaped a lot like jellybeans, mitochondria are extraordinary powerhouses within our cells

and are responsible for generating the energy (ATP) essential for life itself. These

remarkable structures, which originated from ancient bacteria, are passed down

exclusively from mothers and form the very foundation of our cellular health.


The Crucial Importance of Mitochondrial Function

How critical are mitochondria? They produce over 90% of the energy our cells require to

function, thrive, and heal. Every moment, from clear thinking, emotional balance, and

digestion, to immunity, hormone balance, and physical activity, is profoundly dependent

on healthy mitochondrial function. The brain, consuming vast amounts of energy, relies

heavily on mitochondria to build neural connections, support cognitive processes, mood
